Origin:Constantinople
Information:Gründung mit französischem Kapital für die Gasbeleuchtung der Städte Kadi-Keuy, Scutari sowie weiterer Orte an der asiatischen Schwarzmeerküste. Mit damals 35000 Einwohnern, gelegen am Ausfluss des Bosporus in das Marmarameer, war Kadiköi wegen der bequemen Dampferverbindung mit Konstantinopel ein beliebter Sommeraufenthalt. Der Nachbarort Haidar-Pascha war Ausgangspunkt der bedeutsamen Eisenbahn nach Angora.
